Humpback whales take over Bahía de Banderas each winter. There is only one way to truly experience it. From the water.
Each year from December through March, humpback whales arrive in the warm waters of Bahía de Banderas to breed and raise their young, transforming the bay into one of the most extraordinary wildlife encounters on Mexico's Pacific coast.
Experiencing these animals from the water is something else entirely. Close enough to hear their breath, to feel their presence, to witness breaches, tail slaps, and intimate mother and calf interactions that cannot be replicated from land.
Our whale watching excursions are led by experienced captains who understand the rhythms of the bay and operate with a respectful, non-invasive approach to every encounter.
Whether you are travelling with family, capturing the perfect shot, or simply looking for a genuine connection with nature, this is an experience that does not disappoint.
Humpback whales, dolphins, sea turtles, manta rays, and seabirds. Experienced up close, in open water, far beyond what you will ever see from shore.
Whale watching is seasonal, December through March only. We recommend booking in advance during peak months of January and February.
